Travertine is a form of limestone deposited by mineral springs, and used most frequently in modern architecture,commonly used for architectural purposes including countertops. Colors range from neutral whites, beiges, tans, and browns with a variety of vein patterns. Natural travertine has a softer surface than marble or granite and requires low-maintenance cleaning to maintain its smooth, shiny finish.
